From St. Barth airport to Grand Fond, what to expect

Grand Fond is a residential area on the wild Atlantic side of the island, known for its rocky shoreline and natural tide pools. It is one of the longer rides from the airport, out toward the Toiny corner of St. Barth.

From the moment we step out of the SBH terminal, Grand Fond is roughly 18 minutes away. The standard daytime fare hovers around 45 euros. After 6:30pm, on Sundays and on public holidays, plan an extra 5 euros. Between midnight and 6am the surcharge climbs to 10 euros, but very few drivers operate that late so we always pre-book in that case.

On Sundays the road is quieter. Fewer drivers work, and the ones who do add 5 euros to every fare. We plan dinner timing accordingly when we do not have a rental car.
