Data controller

What data we collect

driverstbarth.com is a directory site. We do not require an account, we do not run a tracking pixel, and we do not sell data. Here is exactly what is processed when you visit:

• Server access logs (technical, automatic). Our host (Netlify) logs standard request data: IP address, request timestamp, page requested, referrer, user-agent. Logs are kept for a short retention period by the hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
• Local storage on your device. The site stores small preference flags directly in your browser via localStorage. Specifically: your list of saved taxi drivers (key dsb_favorite_drivers) and whether you dismissed the "Need a ride?" popup (key waNudgeDismissed). This data never leaves your device. Clear your browser data to remove it instantly.
• Anonymous analytics (Plausible). We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool hosted in the EU. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and aggregates traffic in anonymous form. No personally identifiable information is collected.

What we do NOT do

• We do not set advertising cookies
• We do not track you across other websites
• We do not sell, rent or share your data
• We do not require you to register or provide an email to use the site
• We do not run remarketing pixels (no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag)

WhatsApp and third-party links

The "WhatsApp" buttons across the site open wa.me links that redirect to the WhatsApp application or website. Once you click, you leave driverstbarth.com and your interaction is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy. Likewise, "Call" links open your phone dialer with the driver's number. We do not see, record or process these communications.

Booking concierge data

If you use the booking assistant on /booking.html, the form fields (pickup, destination, name, contact) are processed only in your browser and sent to us via WhatsApp when you tap "Send via WhatsApp". We use this information solely to coordinate your ride with a local driver. Once your ride is arranged, we do not retain a database of bookings.

Legal basis (GDPR)

For visitors based in the European Union, the legal basis for the limited data processing described above is:

• Legitimate interest (article 6.1.f GDPR) for security logs, anonymous analytics, and serving a functional website
• Consent (article 6.1.a GDPR) for storing preferences in your browser (you can withdraw it at any time by clearing localStorage)

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the French Loi Informatique et Libertés, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (essentially none, beyond any email you sent us)
• Request rectification or deletion of that data
• Object to processing or request portability
• Lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at cnil.fr

To exercise these rights, write to contact@driverstbarth.com. We respond within 30 days.

Data retention

Server logs are retained by our host according to its own policy (typically 30 days). LocalStorage data persists on your device until you clear it. Emails you send to us are kept as long as needed to handle the request, then archived or deleted.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated. The version that applies is the one in effect on the date you access the site. Last updated: May 2026.
