Before You Ride
Three things every visitor should know about taxi fares on the island.
Regulated fares
Taxi rates are set by the Collectivité de Saint-Barthélemy. Prices are fixed per route.
Cash preferred
Most drivers prefer cash (euros). Some accept cards. Always confirm before riding.
Night rates
Fares are higher between 8pm and 6am, on Sundays, and on public holidays.
Taxi Fares
40 to 120€ per ride
Depends on the distance, the vehicle, and the time of year. Short rides cost less, longer routes like Toiny or Colombier cost more. High season (December to April) is at the upper end.
Higher at night, Sundays & holidays
After 8pm and before 6am, all fares go up. Same on Sundays and public holidays. Plan accordingly.
Standby: from 150€/hour
The driver waits for you and takes you back. Minimum 150 to 200 euros per hour. In high season, expect 200 to 300 euros per hour or more. Perfect for dinners and beach trips.
Night rides (after 8pm), Sundays, and public holidays cost more. Prices also vary by vehicle type and season. Always confirm the fare with your driver before the ride.
